Saturday Afternoon Smooth

496 West has graciously accepted an invitation to perform this summer at the Lansing JazzFest. On Saturday August 4th,  the band warms up the Jackson National Stage. Performing on the same stage will be Edye Evans Hyde Quintet (6:30 pm) and saxophonist Tim Cunningham (9 pm).

Saturday’s Jazz Fest activities are scheduled to begin at 1 pm.  Throughout the afternoon and evening of second day of the festival , attendees will hear and see performances by jazz ensembles, jazz combos and bands.  The preliminary schedule (as of 4/5/2012) is pasted below.

In its 18th year, JazzFest is produced by MICA (Michigan Institute for Contemporary Art).
