Known internationally as an elite jazz/R&B/pop saxophonist, songwriter, producer, and performer Eric Darius knows how to engage his audience. Since exploding on the scene at age 17, he caused a frenzy. He was born into a musical family where his father plays bass, his mother and sister sing, and his older brother plays drums and trumpet. Darius grew up listening to Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Grover Washington Jr., David Sanborn, George Benson, and Bob Marley among others.
Now with six critically acclaimed albums, three Number One hit singles, Eight Top 10 radio hits on Nielsen’s R&R/Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts SESAC’s Top 10 Jazz Artist of the Year 2015, and Best Jazz Saxophonist Composer Producer and Musician of the Year Award for 2017 at the 1st Annual Citril Starz Awards.
Also, joining Lansing’s own 496 West are Detroit-based vocalists Karla Pace and Condido Live! Pace’s Motown flare, soulful voice, and polished stage presence can captivate an intimate crowd or a large audience. She’s had the pleasure of opening for such major acts as Multi-Grammy Award Winning Artist Babyface, Anita Baker, Stokley of Mint Condition, India Aire, Richard Street’s Temptations, Howie Mandell, LL Cool J, Buster Rhymes, Alexander O’Neil and Musiq Soulchild just to name a few. Condido Live is a touring member of Motown Experience and a former singer with the Detroit band Suade. From Motown to Nat King Cole to Prince, this songwriter, producer, and actor is coming to an ear near you.
