A Musical tribute honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This is a free event and the public is invited to attend.
Featuring
Al McKenzie, keys; Zakiya Williams, vocals; Angela Davis, vocals; 496 West contemporary instrumentals; and the Olivet Gospel Choir.
Purpose
The 2018 Musical Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. provides an inspirational, musical and cultural event that is completely free. The hope is to bring students and a diverse community together to honor, through music, one of history’s most important African American civil rights leaders.
Now in its 3rd season, the event showcases local and regional artists and the teachings of Dr. King.
Jason Meadows, associate dean of student life and Dr. Linda Logan, Vice President and Dean of Student Life will serve as MC’s for the event.
