Joe Sample began using the electric keyboard in the sixties when he played with the Jazz Crusaders. The group recorded the song “Street Life” and also released an album of the same name in 1979.
A few band members has an opportunity to see him perform, meet him and talk about recording “Street Life” on the 496 West debut CD.
A phenomenal musician .
He will be missed!
